Watch Ledger
Account & Data Deletion
How to delete your Watch Ledger account and the data associated with it.
You can delete your Watch Ledger account, and the personal data linked to it, at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. This page explains how to request deletion, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
Watch Ledger is operated by Watch Ledger LLC. For anything on this page, contact us at support@watchledger.app.
1. Delete your account in the app
The fastest way is directly in the Watch Ledger mobile app:
- Open the Watch Ledger app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately and your data is removed as described in section 3.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, you can ask us to delete your account for you. Email support@watchledger.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Account and data deletion request”.
Please include:
- The email address registered to your account
- Your name (as it appears on the account)
- A short note confirming you want the account and data deleted
We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we proceed, to protect you against fraudulent deletion requests.
3. What data is deleted
When your account is deleted we remove the personal data we hold about you, including:
- Your profile and login details (name, email, phone, avatar, username)
- Identity and verification documents you submitted
- Your registered watches and their ownership certificates
- Recovery applications you have submitted
- Your forum posts, comments and likes
- Your stories and story reactions
- Your boutique / dealer business profile and directory listing, if any
- Your blocked-account list, your content reports, and your notifications
- Media you uploaded (photos and videos)
4. What we keep, and for how long
A limited amount of data is retained after deletion where the law requires it or where we have a legitimate, overriding reason:
- Transaction and billing records — kept for the period required by tax, accounting and anti-fraud law (typically up to 7 years). These are held for legal compliance only and are not used to contact you.
- Stolen-watch records — where a watch was reported stolen, the public record may be retained in de-identified form to preserve the integrity of the stolen ledger and to protect other buyers, even after the reporting account is deleted.
- Aggregated or anonymised data — data that can no longer identify you may be retained for analytics and service improvement.
Retained records are securely deleted or fully anonymised once the applicable retention period ends.
5. Timeline
In-app deletions take effect immediately. Email requests are actioned within 30 days of us verifying your identity, and usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once your account and data have been deleted.
6. More information
