Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

1. Platform nature

Watch Ledger is a technology platform that facilitates:

• User-generated stolen watch alerts
• Watch ownership registration and certification
• A directory of verified watch dealers
• A community forum for watch enthusiasts

Watch Ledger is NOT and does not represent itself as:

• A law enforcement agency or investigative body
• An insurance provider or underwriter
• A watch valuation or authentication service
• A legal adviser or solicitor
• A guarantor of any transaction between users

2. Stolen watch alerts — disclaimer

Watch Ledger transmits stolen watch alerts as submitted by registered verified users. We do not independently investigate the veracity of each alert beyond initial account and watch registration verification.

Watch Ledger accepts no responsibility for:

• The accuracy of any stolen watch alert submitted by a user
• Any loss, damage or reputational harm suffered as a result of a false alert
• The failure of an alert to prevent the sale of a stolen watch
• The recovery or non-recovery of any stolen watch

Watch Ledger strongly encourages all users who report a stolen watch to also file a report with their local law enforcement agency.

3. Certificates — disclaimer

Watch Ledger Certificates confirm only that a watch has been registered on our Platform by a user who completed our verification process at the time of registration. A certificate does NOT:

• Guarantee the authenticity of the watch
• Confirm the watch is genuine and not counterfeit
• Represent any assessment of the watch's condition
• Constitute a valuation of the watch
• Provide any warranty to a buyer

Buyers should conduct their own due diligence before any purchase and should not rely solely on a Watch Ledger certificate as the basis for a purchasing decision.

4. Dealer directory — disclaimer

Inclusion in the Watch Ledger Verified Dealer Directory confirms only that the listed business submitted documentation that satisfied our verification requirements at the time of listing. Watch Ledger does not:

• Endorse or recommend any listed dealer
• Guarantee the quality of any dealer's stock
• Accept liability for any transaction between a user and a dealer
• Continuously monitor dealer conduct after listing

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Watch Ledger LLC and its directors, officers, employees, agents and licensors shall not be liable for any:

• Direct loss or damage arising from use of the Platform
• Indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss of any kind
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, business or goodwill
• Loss arising from reliance on any certificate, alert or platform content
• Loss arising from any transaction facilitated through or connected to the Platform
• Loss arising from the conduct of any verified dealer or other user
• Loss arising from Platform downtime, technical failure or data loss

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Watch Ledger in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

6. No warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Watch Ledger makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness or reliability of any information on the Platform
• The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform
• The fitness of the Platform for any particular purpose

7. Indemnity

You agree to fully indemnify Watch Ledger LLC against any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, breach of these terms or any act or omission that causes harm to Watch Ledger or any third party.

8. Governing law

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
